What will be done?
The seminar offers a unique opportunity to learn the basics of combined transport (CT) in a compact format and to exchange ideas with other participants. Experienced lecturers provide a sound understanding of this economical and sustainable transport solution.
Seminar contents:
- Basic concepts of combined transport
- Division of labour between operators, railway companies, logistics providers, freight forwarders and shippers
- Framework conditions for CT, such as vehicle tax relief or an increased total weight of 44 tonnes
- Financial subsidies for transport companies
- Combined transport technology, such as standardisation, combined transport loading units, railway wagons, dimensions and weights
- Transhipment stations, technologies and operating modes
- Transport/market development, in particular business models and brief profiles of market participants
- ¡ Benefits of combined transport for transporters based on checklists
Questions are welcome and will be answered during the seminar.
Seminar schedule:
A joint dinner on the first day also provides an informal platform for networking and exchanging ideas. In addition, we offer a visit to a transhipment terminal to experience the practical side of things first-hand and deepen the theoretical understanding of combined transport gained in the seminar.

At which Conditions?
Participation fee
Participation in the seminar is subject to a participation fee of
765,00 Euro (netto)
which is due upon registration. It includes participation in all program items, conference catering and dinner together on the first evening, the working document in the seminar and the digitally provided final documentation.
Voucher
Full payers will be rewarded for their participation with a voucher from the company Kombiverkehr Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kombinierten Güterverkehr mbH & Co. KG in the amount of
250,00 Euro
on your next intermodal transport. The voucher is valid for national and international transportation within the Kombiverkehr Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kombinierten Güterverkehr mbH & Co. KG network and is valid for up to three months after participation in the seminar. To redeem the voucher, KombiConsult will forward the data of those participants to Kombiverkehr. The conditions of carriage of Kombiverkehr GmbH & Co. KG apply; in particular, the redeeming company must be a freight payer to Kombiverkehr.
